UR-Away FL is a unique solvent especially suited for use in flushing and removal of uncured urethanes,

including polyurethane foams, reactive hot melts, and other urethane adhesives.

GENERAL:

UR-Away FL is a low-toxicity, non-chlorinated, non-flammable (by U.S. Department of Transportation definition) solvent designed to replace solvents such as acetone, methylene chloride, and other chlorinated solvents used in general flushing applications. The solvent has a low vapor pressure, minimizing evaporative losses. In addition, UR-Away FL is excellent for removing asphalt, asphalt residue, and crude oil build-up.

APPLICATIONS:
 

1. UR-Away FL can be used for the removal of uncured polyurethane foam, polyurethane reactive hot melts, most polyurethane adhesives, and rigid and flexible urethanes. UR-Away FL will not attack Viton.

2. UR-Away FL can be used to clean rollers used in glue spreading applications and is often superior to powdered roll cleaners in this application.

3. UR-Away FL is also effective for the flushing or removal of many different uncured polymers. Testing UR- needs to be completed on each specific polymer to determine degree of effectiveness.

4. UR-Away FL can be used for cleaning equipment used in the manufacturing of asphalt roofing, asphalt paving, and in the processes often used by oil refineries.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
 

1. UR-Away FL can be used at room temperature. For most flushing applications, the solvent can be heated to 150-250oF to increase effectiveness. In flushing, use the solvent as you would any other flushing agent.

2. For removing oil & asphalt residue and build-up, soak the part submerged in the solvent if its size permits. If the part is too large for soaking, apply solvent by spraying or pouring solvent onto the surface. Allow solvent to soak up to several minutes, depending upon the thickness of the build-up. Wipe away with cloth. Heavy build-ups may require mild brushing. Repeat as necessary.

CAUTION AND WARNINGS:
UR-Away FL contains powerful organic solvents. It is harmful if inhaled or swallowed. Avoid breathing vapors or mist. Keep away from heat and flame. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Wear gloves, safety goggles, and protective clothing when handling. Use with adequate ventilation. Refer to MSDS before use, for disposal, or additional safe handling.
