Poly-Flush is a very versatile polymer
flushing solvent. It can be used in all types of industrial and electronic
applications.
GENERAL:
This flushing solvent is formulated
for the flushing of polyurethane and polyester mixing/dispensing equipment.
This new product was developed as a more effective replacement for DBE,
Citrus-based, and other low-cost flushing solvents. Like these flushing
materials, the Poly-Flush flushing solvent is also a low-cost option. It is a
low-toxicity, non-chlorinated, non-flammable solvent also designed to replace
solvents such as acetone, methylene chloride, and other chlorinated solvents
used in polyurethane and polyester flushing applications.
APPLICATIONS: 1. Poly-Flush can be used
for the flushing of uncured polyurethane foam, polyester resins, polyurethane
reactive hot melts, most polyurethane adhesives, and rigid and flexible
urethanes.
2. Poly-Flush can be used
for the flushing of urethane-based inks and paints.
3. Poly-Flush can also be
effective for the flushing of various other polymers including epoxies,
acrylics, methacrylates. 4. Poly-Flush can
also be used to clean stereolithography resins used in the rapid prototyping
industry.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE: 1. The Poly-Flush can be
used at room temperature or heated. For most flushing applications, the
solvent can be heated to 150-175oF to increase effectiveness. In flushing,
use the solvent as you would any other flushing agent. Poly-Flush is safe
to use as a flushing solvent on equipment using Viton seals as long as
the solvent is not left in contact with the Viton for an extended period
of time. After 24 hours, Viton may begin to swell if left immersed in Poly-Flush.
For a completely Viton-safe flushing solvent, use UR-Away FL.
2. To remove cured materials
try Dynasolve CU-5, UR-Away, and UR-Away NF for urethane and polyester-based
polymers. For flushing of partially cured material, try Dynaflush or Dynasolve
CU-6.
CAUTION AND WARNINGS:Poly-Flush contains powerful organic
solvents. It is harmful if inhaled or swallowed. Avoid breathing vapors or
mist. Keep away from heat and flame. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Wear
gloves, safety goggles, and protective clothing when handling. Use with
adequate ventilation. Refer to MSDS before use, for disposal, or additional
safe handling.
AVAILABILITY AND TERMS: Poly-Flush is packed in
5 US -gallon pails and 55 US -gallon drums. It can be shipped by UPS (ground or
air), truck or air freight. Terms are Net 30 days, FOB shipping point.
